Garlic

We grow quality garlic that we are proud of. Our seed is sourced from certified organic stock and our garlic is grown without the use of pesticides, fungicides or herbicides. This means our hard working team regularly weeds the crop by hand and feeds the soil with organic inputs such as manures (you should see the worms among our current crop!). Our garlic is watered with rain water pumped from our dam, harvested by hand and cured to ensure long storage life.

Whilst the growing process is labour intensive, we believe the finished product speaks for itself. Garlic when grown chemically free is a powerful health bulb and yet Australia continues to import over 90% of its garlic from China, Argentina and Mexico with AQIS fumigating every bulb with methyl bromide, one of the world's most dangerous chemicals for human health.

Our hens live a happy healthy life, roaming the open pastures on our farm. We use the chicken caravan, a fantastic addition to our Free Range Farm thanks to our savvy friends at Chicken Caravan. The caravan provides shelter, water, roosting & nesting space and is moved each week ensuring the flock always has access to fresh pasture. Alpacas protect the flock from the threat of predators.

Our eggs are natural. As a small scale family farm, we are part of the growing movement of producers who realise the importance of natural, chemical free food production and its health benefits. Our hens are fed a vegetarian grain diet and eggs contain NO artificial yolk colouring, antibiotics or hormones. We do not use chemical pesticides or fertilisers on our farm and use a permaculture system to nourish the soil.
